The most important work we do is turning sick, sore and sad animals back into happy, playful pets. We understand that the journey to reach that point can be worrying and we are here to ease your distress and support you all the way. It is natural to be concerned about your pet’s treatment. When you arrive we will talk you through our surgical service from end to end, answering any questions and alleviating any worries you may have. We can show you the clinic and where your pet will be looked after and cared for, so that you can always trust in our care.

Wolfe Vets is an advanced facility. Our founder, James Bennett, is recognised by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons as an Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery. We have invested in state of the art equipment and the best staff to care for your pets. We are able to carry out a wide range of surgical procedures, from the management of complex conditions: surgeries that most veterinary clinics are not able to perform, through to simple and routine procedures. We have two specialised operating theatres, dedicated imaging facilities and diagnostic areas equipped with minimally invasive diagnostic equipment.

Soft tissue surgery includes most areas of the body apart from the bones, joints and spine or nerves; it ranges from routine neutering through to removing of objects a pet should not have eaten, on to curative cancer surgeries, skin grafts and ocular procedures, with many other problems in between.

• Eye surgery – corneal wounds via conjunctival pedicle graft, entropion, cherry eye, tumours

• Ear, nose and throat surgery – otitis, BOAS, tumours, thyroid, stick injuries
• Wound management – injuries
• Intestinal surgery – exploration, foreign bodies, tumour removal, sub-total colectomy
• Urinary tract surgery – blocked cats, cystotomy, perineal/prescrotal urethrostomy
• Perineal surgery – anal gland resection, perineal hernia repair, perianal tumour removal
