Neutering

IV Fluids: All Cat and Dog Spay and Dog Castration operations include free of charge IV Fluids (usual price £125) to increase anaesthetic safety by maintaining normal blood pressure, this is very important in all procedures with over 20 minutes of anaesthesia. We do not believe other local clinics offer this.

All of our neutering procedures are performed under general anaesthetic. The larger your pet, the longer the procedure takes, more anaesthetic is required to keep them asleep and more staff are required to look after them while they are with us, which is why our costs vary based on the weight of your animal.

Pre-anaesthetic blood testing including haematology, clotting times and biochemistry is advised in order to assess our patients’ ability to be safely anaesthetised, their ability to heal surgical wounds, their ability to clot blood after surgical incisions and their ability to resist infection after an operation. This costs £187 or £168.30 if your pet is in The Wolfe Pack.

The Wolfe Pack

The Wolfe Pack is a heavily discounted preventative healthcare plan to spread the cost of that protection. Being part of the Wolfe Pack has lots of benefits.

Prescription medications

Wolfe Vets holds an extensive pharmacy for our patients. We are also happy to write prescriptions for clients to find alternative pharmacies who may be able to offer medication at a lower cost. We do not work with any other organisations and cannot certify storage conditions for alternative pharmacies.

Insurance

Wolfe Vets takes payment for work carried out. For claims in excess of £1000 we may be able to take payment direct from insurers. All such payments are subject to an ‘agreement to pay’. If a client requires the insurer to pay Wolfe Vets directly we require written preauthorisation and payment of any insurance excess payment. If written preauthorisation is not provided by any particular insurer Wolfe Vets requires the greater of 30% or £1000 deposit on the final bill. If claims are not settled by the insurer within 8 weeks of treatment Wolfe Vets requires the client to pay the account in full. Wolfe Vets charges an administrative fee in order to process insurance claims. Wolfe Vets will only process claims for products and services provided by Wolfe Vets.
